Here's a list of common questions about renting luxury cars in Miami with LIV Exotic Rentals.
Do I need insurance to rent a car?
The renter must provide proof of an active insurance policy in the primary renter’s name. The policy must provide collision, comprehensive, and liability coverage that transfers to your rental. Even if you drive a 2004 Honda Accord your full coverage insurance will cover in all 50 states. American Express offers “Premium Insurance" that can act as your primary insurance during your rental period.
Will my regular car insurance cover the rental of an exotic car in Miami?
If you have full-coverage insurance, yes your insurance carries over and will cover the car you rent from us. Full coverage means you have Liability, Comp, and Collision.
Do you require a security deposit to rent a luxury car in Miami?
Yes, we require a security deposit. The deposit amount is specific to each vehicle and can range anywhere from $500 – $5,000. Cash deposit retainers will be returned after the rental period if no damages are incurred during the term of the rental. If any damages are found once the vehicle has been returned we will provide you with an onsite evaluation, and deduct it from your deposit.
Is there a minimum age requirement to rent?
Yes, you must be at least 21 years old to be eligible. You must not have any severe moving violations and/or DUI cases on your record. If so, there is a possibility your rental agreement and or reservation will be denied.
What paperwork do I need?
Proof of valid driver's license and full coverage insurance that extends to the vehicle.
Regarding Fuel, Tolls, Driving Tickets, Towed Vehicles, Parking Tickets and Red Light Camera Tickets
Fuel: Fuel must be brought back the same way it was given to you. You will be charged additional refuel fees if not. All vehicles *MUST* be operated with premium gasoline (93+ octane). A $500 penalty fee will be applied for any gas of less than 93+ class.
Tolls: “SunPass" is included in each of our rental cars.
Driving tickets:Each driver is responsible for their own driving citation’s and driving tickets.
Parking tickets and red light cameras:
The renter is fully responsible for any parking citations, and red light camera tickets during the rental period.
Towed Vehicle:Any towing charges or damages incurred during the rental cycle will be deducted from the deposit and/or billed to the client. The client can continue the rental after the charges are paid and the vehicle is released.
If I have a flight leaving during your closing hours, is there anywhere I can leave your vehicle?
Yes, we have a drop off service. Let us know in advance for instructions on where to leave your vehicle.
Do I need an international driver's license if I'm not from the USA?
Yes, an international drivers license, passport, and American Express platinum card must be presented if you are renting from another country.
Do you match your competitor's prices?
Yes, we do! Our rates are guaranteed to be the lowest. This means we will match our competitor’s price for comparable rentals.
I have never rented an exotic car before. How do I rent an exotic car?
The booking process is a lot easier then you may think! Just pick a car, tell us how many days you’d like it for, show proof of insurance, and pay. Simple as that!
Do you accept prepaid debit cards or gift cards?
No. All payment cards must have a chip and match a bank account attached to the name on your rental agreement.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, though our cars are generally booked in advance so we cannot guarantee availability.
If i want to rent an exotic car for a month can I receive a special price?
Yes, vehicles can be rented by the month and receive a special offer.
How many miles do I get with my rental?
100 miles are included per day. If you surpass those miles you will be charged an additional $2-5 per mile depending on the car.
Can I return my car a day or more early?
We charge the full amount of the rental in advance or on the day of the rental. Once a vehicle is reserved we are not allowed to rent the vehicle during the days of your rental period. If you need to cancel early please ask your sales associate and we will try to accommodate.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay in cash, credit card, debit card, zelle, cash app, or apple pay.
Can I go anywhere with my rental car?
You are not allowed to leave the tri-county region commonly referred to as “South Florida” consisting of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, unless consent is given from the management.
Are my reservation time, make, model, price, and availability guaranteed?
Not exactly. We strive for a 99% reservation accuracy. However, it is the nature of car rentals that we must rely on the previous renters to return safely and on time. Occasionally, delays happen. Booking a rental with LIV Exotic Rentals does not guarantee your vehicle selection, make or model, time, price, availability, or any other detail. We reserve the right to amend your reservation at any time, with or without notice, but we always strive to ensure you are satisfied with your experience.
Do you pick up and drop off customers?
Yes, we have a service to pick up and drop off customers for rentals.
Do you deliver and pick up the vehicle?
Yes, we do provide these services.
Do you pick up at the airports?
Yes, we pick up from the airport and deliver to the airport.
Do you deliver at the hotels?
Yes, we do deliver at hotels but the customer needs to be present to sign your rental contract.
At what times can you guys deliver / pick up my rental?
We are a 24 hour, 7 days a week service. This makes it easy for us to accommodate you on your ever changing schedule and those last minute trips. We can deliver or pick up your rental at no cost within our allowed locations within the hours of 10am (EST) – 8pm (EST). For deliveries or pick ups outside our normal operating hours we charge a $50-$250 surcharge that varies on location and distance.
How long does it take to get my rental car delivered?
We advise our clients to allow us a 1-2 hour window to make deliveries.
Are there any speed restrictions or governors on your vehicles?
No, but you are, of course, required to obey all traffic laws and drive responsibly.
What is the refund policy?
No refunds unless you give us at least a 24 hour notice prior to your first rental date.
